Ammonia caps or commonly known as smelling salts is the stimulant of choice for strength athletes in competition or testing maximal weight during training.
Once the capsule is broken, ammonia fumes from the salts are released for the user to smell. This triggers an inhalation reflex which increasing breathing rate, alertness and brain activity.
Ammonia caps are ideal for higher focus and days where the athlete requires a ‘wake up’ before they lift.
